It's very natural to be anxious about what happens on your first day at school. On your first day when you arrive it would be best if you entered by the main entrance and congregated on the steps or in the canteen. You will then be called to the main hall using the whole school announcement system. Once there you will sit in rows according to your House. Staff will be on hand to direct you to where you need to sit. You will then be welcomed by Mr. Howells have a brief welcome assembly with your new Head of Year, then you will go to your new form room. Once there you will receive information about the school day, your timetable and the plan for the week ahead. In normal times you would have the first two lessons with your form tutor and then start on your timetabled lessons.
In the first two weeks the Year 7 pupils are allowed to leave five minutes before the end of each lesson to allow time to make your way to the next class. We also provide sixth form guides to show you the way. If you are ever lost just ask another member of the school or a teacher, they will always be eager to help.
