Open to the elements and untethered to any ground, Rishi Sasi's work explores the magic of natural spaces and the subtlety of installation. The works are earthy and transcendental, making the paradox of placement incredibly apparent.
Currently studying at the Govt. College of Fine Arts, Chennai, his approach is as ambiguous as his medium. The result is a unique mix of art, installation and sculpture, intended to not 'fit in'.
'A situation can only be fully or unambiguously present after a large number of factors and actions have taken palace. And I believe that my current circumstances are the by product of these contradictions, and an experiment to put together these mediums and things to make a conversation between the viewers. And this is what 'Solutions on conditions is. People may have a different vision of my work, and sometimes I too feel it. It is not constant. A single condition has too many solutions at the same time, making this conversation between viewers quite interesting.'
