Sujeeth Kumar Sreekandan completed his BFA in 2008 and MFA in 2010 at Government College of Fine Arts, Chennai. His artworks is inspired by his perception of landscapes he lives in and travels through, with memories and past thoughts framing future ideas. He lives and works in Chennai.
Moksha Kumar is an artist, art writer and curator working out of the Lalit Kala Akademi Chennai art studios. She graduated with a BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute, New York, and then completed her MFA in Art History from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. A participant of several group exhibitions and art events, including the first edition of The Other Art Fair organised by Saatchi Art in Chicago and the World Art Dubai, she held her first solo show at Kalakriti Art Café in 2015.
Actively involved in various art projects around the world, such as Sing for Hope Pianos, the Prithvi Theatre Festival, and the St+art India project, Moksha was also a part of the Space 118 residency program in 2017. She has worked at a diverse array of work places, making her creative outlook and portfolio quite unique.
Kalki was born in Pollachi, a town in Tamil Nadu. Kalki holds two master's degrees: Masters in Journalism Mass Communication and Masters in International Relations. During her postgraduate studies, she started publishing a monthly magazine in Tamil for transgender women called Sahodari (which means sister). This is the first Tamil magazine published for transgender people in India. Kalki also lived in Auroville for many years.
As an artist , Kalki's artworks are considered vibrant and colorful. She has been invited to USA, Canada, Netherlands, and Germany to speak on art and activism. In 2016, Subramaniam sold her paintings through a crowdfunding campaign and funded the education of underprivileged transgender women. She uses art to find a voice without words, providing transgender victims of sexual and physical abuse a freedom to express their pain through art called the Red Wall Project, also known as the Shut Up! Show. Hundreds of transgender people have participated in the project across the different States of India and wrote their testimonials on a white paper with a red palm impression to show protest against sexual exploitation. In November 2019, Kalki paid a tribute art show to the late Bollywood actress Sridevi by exhibiting digital portraits of Sridevi. She mentioned that Sridevi has been her inspiration since childhood.
KP Sreekrishnan, a film maker, video artist and curator, is based in Kerala. Graduated in English literature, he started working with documentaries, television and audio commercials. His first feature film 'Marupathai' ('The way to be') was made in 2011. His association with contemporary visual artists resulted as documentaries and curating art shows.. He was part of Triva contemporary an art gallery based in Thiruvanthapuram. His second feature film 'Heart of a Dog', an independent adaptation of The novel of the same title by Mikhail Bulgakov was premiered in International film festival of Kerala, in 2017. Sreekrishnan has been collaborating with theatre productions as video artist and curated an exhibition called 'Transition matters' in International theatre festival of Kerala, 201. In the post covid situation He started to curate virtual art shows.
The band “INKSTRAINS” is a fusion of experimental music tapping into every genre from rural and folk music to Carnatic music, rock, and many more. The band believes that music is one of the ways to communicate art by exploring the sounds of instruments, people, and nature. The shows are mostly performed in a live music improvisation bringing our dramatic vision to life.
