TransforMAP Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
TransforMAP doesn't collect anything about you. There are no accounts, I don't run any servers, and the app never connects to the internet, so there is nowhere for your information to go. Here's how it works in a bit more detail.
Your drawings and photos
To turn a drawing into a map, the app needs a picture of it. You can take a photo with the camera or choose one from your photos. The camera is only used when you tap "Take a photo of my map". If you choose a photo, the app only receives that one picture, not your whole library. The picture is read on your own device using Apple's built-in tools. It isn't uploaded anywhere.
What gets saved
Each map you make is saved inside the app so you can open it again later. That includes the picture you started with, the roads and their names, anything you added, and a small preview for the gallery. The app also remembers which view you used last and whether you drew on paper or on a tablet.
Only TransforMAP can see this. If you delete a map it's gone from your device, and deleting the app removes everything. If you back up your device, your saved maps may be part of that backup. That depends on your Apple settings, and I can't see it.
Sharing your maps
When you save or share a map as an image or a PDF, it goes where you send it and nowhere else. The app doesn't send it anywhere itself.
What the app doesn't have
No analytics, no ads, no tracking, no location, and no code from other companies.
Children
TransforMAP is made for students. There are no accounts, no chat, no purchases and no links out. Nothing a child draws or writes leaves the device unless they choose to share it. As with any app, a parent or teacher should be nearby when young children use it.
Changes
If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top.
