Principal Investigators

Shuyi Liu, Ph.D.

Dr. Liu (she/her) is an assistant professor in the Psychology Department at SFSU. She earned her Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Iowa State University. She received her master's degree in psychological counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. She attended Tsinghua University (Beijing, China) for her bachelor's degree in English and economics.

Jaclyn N. Wolf, Ph.D.

Dr. Wolf (she/her) is an assistant professor in the Psychology Department at SFSU. She attended California State University, Northridge for her B.A. (psychology) and M.A. (clinical psychology) degrees, and earned a Ph.D. in school psychology from the University of Arizona. Dr. Wolf is also a licensed psychologist and a credentialed school psychologist in California.

Student Researchers

Matthew Chan

I'm a senior majoring in Psychology. I love photography and have even been accepted into some group shows and had a solo show at City College's Gallery Obscura.

Miguel Troy

I’m a senior majoring in Psychology at SFSU. A fun fact about me is that my Chinese Zodiac is the Year of the Dog 🐶 — which feels pretty accurate. I’m loyal, energetic, a little confused at times, but overall a good boy. Another fun fact is that I recently celebrated five years sober from drugs and alcohol, which has been one of the most meaningful accomplishments of my life.

Jasmine Kimbrough

I'm a fourth-year Criminal Justice and Psychology major. A fun fact is that I'm left-handed!

Nicholas Eddings

I'm a senior in Psychology with a minor in Human Sexuality. I joined the lab to further my experience in conducting research. I plan to conduct my own research and hopefully get published in the future. A fun fact about me is that I am the most social introvert you will ever meet, and I am a huge Marvel nerd.
