Transferring a Character to the Satele Shan Server
Elders of the Republic/Sith
This presentation is to explain how to transfer a character from another server to Satele Shan, the home server to the Elders of the Republic/Sith
In order to initiate a character transfer:
- Login and then visit: https://account.swtor.com/user/account/transfer
- Ensure you character meets the requirements listed
- Click “Start a character transfer”
- Select the server where the character you wish to transfer is located
- Click “Choose a character from source server”
- Select the character you wish to transfer
- Select the server you wish to transfer that character to (SATELE SHAN)
- Click “Next”
- On this screen, you can confirm that the character is eligible
- Click “Start transfer”
- Enjoy your new server
Lessons Learned - Before you Transfer
► Reputation and Achievements and Legacy Levels and Legacy Perks (like class buffs) merge on the target server - where the low numbers are replaced by the higher numbers.
► Allows all of your unlocked decorations from both servers to be available to the target server.
► Stronghold Room Unlocks. All of the Stronghold rooms unlocked on the source server will be unlocked on the Target server. Unfortunately, on the target server, you still have to purchase the initial stronghold unlock, but after that, have the transferred character run through the stronghold to open up unlocked rooms for free.
► Transferred character need to be at least 10th level.
► Name collisions. Have back up names in case your character name is already taken.
► Have everything you want to take in your personal inventory or cargo bays. Items in the Legacy Cargo Hold will NOT transfer.
► Collect all mail and GTN listings for the transferring character as these will be deleted on the source server.
► All Outfit Designer slots on the transferred character are cleared. You will need to restamp the your character's permanent appearance. Your character will arrive on the new server wearing whatever is equipped in the main character pane gear slots. Make sure you bring along the equipment you need to restamp your outfit
► Park your character on fleet before transferring them. Make sure they are not in a Stronghold.
