About me

My name is Le Tran. I am a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, Texas State University. I recently completed my Ph.D. degree at New Mexico State University under the supervision of Professor Dr. Louiza Fouli. I also achieved my master's degree at New Mexico State University. I am interested in Commutative Algebra and its interactions with Combinatorics. My research focuses on the study of initially regular sequences and computations of the depth of edge ideal of graphs. I am also interested in certain graphs' invariants of binomial edge ideals.

I have a passion for teaching Mathematics and want to become a teacher that can invoke enthusiasm in studying Mathematics and help nurture every student's potential. I emphasize the importance of perseverance, as I firmly believe that learning Mathematics involves making mistakes and learning from them. My favorite quote is "Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think" - Albert Einstein, which inspires my goals in teaching and studying Mathematics.
