the Tralance mobile application (the "App"). We are highly committed to protecting user privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how your data is processed, stored, and protected within the App.

1. Core Privacy Philosophy: Zero Data Collection

Tralance is designed from the ground up as a fully decentralized, offline personal finance assistant.

• No Server Uploads: The App does not possess any internet communication libraries (e.g., Ktor, Retrofit) or cloud integration. We do not host, collect, upload, or share any of your transactional data, personal identifiers, or app logs to external cloud servers.

• No Third-Party Analytics: We do not embed third-party tracking SDKs, marketing tags, or advertising networks that transmit data off your device.

• No External Accounts: The App works entirely locally; it does not request bank logins, API access, or credit card linking.

2. Permissions and Local Data Processing

To automate financial tracking securely without compromising your privacy, the App utilizes specific Android framework APIs. All processing happens strictly on-device in real-time:

• • Google SMS User Consent API: The App does not request full background or broad device SMS permissions. Instead, it utilizes the secure Google Play Services SMS User Consent API to retrieve individual transaction messages only when explicitly approved by the user via a system prompt. The parsed details are immediately saved to your local database.

• • Notification Access Service: If enabled by the user, the App uses the standard Android NotificationListenerService to intercept and parse push notifications generated by your selected financial and payment applications (e.g., UPI and banking alerts). This automatically logs transactions to your local dashboard without reading personal messages.

• • Biometric Authentication (androidx.biometric): The App relies on the Android OS biometric prompt layer to protect access to your financial dashboard. We do not access, process, or store your actual fingerprint or facial recognition data.

• • Local Cryptographic Storage: Data required to operate the application (such as local preference flags) are managed locally using (androidx.datastore.preferences).

3. Advanced Security Architecture

Even though your financial logs never leave your phone, we implement enterprise-grade security to prevent unauthorized local access:

• Database Level Encryption: All transactions, merchant configurations, and internal application tables are stored in a relational Room database protected natively via SQLCipher and full AES-256 bit encryption.

• Anti-Screen Capture: The application enforces layout safety parameters that disable programmatic screenshots or screen recordings on secure states to prevent background overlay malware exploitation.

4. Children's Information

Since Tralance operates completely offline and transmits zero user data over the internet, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect, aggregate, or store personal information from children under the age of 13, adhering strictly to COPPA guidelines.

5. Compliance and Policy Evolution

As Tralance operates autonomously on the user’s device without checking into an active server infrastructure, any revisions to this Privacy Policy will be announced transparently by publishing an updated document version inside the official Google Play Store application listing.
