There are no sollutions yet for the m4a problem on windows 11, even if you update or reinstall, m4a keeps on sounding bad. This has gone on for long enough, this is a payed program. We should get better suport!

So I just got the controller today and I installed all of the needed drivers and software from the Native Instruments programs and website. Then I plugged in my controller and it worked for around 3 seconds then wit just stopped. The hardware itself still works as far as I can tell, no lights are on except for a flashing usb icon so I think that means that it works, also it does the animation on the controller itself when I turn it io. But in windows, when I plug in the device it is not detected. Traktor Pro 2 also does not detect it and I have no idea what to do. Any help is much appreciated.

I play a youtube video through the mixer and the mixer lights hang, at the same time I get a page from my browser stating oops, error.

The same went for using traktor pro 3, the software crashed with a log to export, again when the DB4 is set as its sound device.

Setting the Maschine 3 as the primary device and there are 0 issues and no crashes.

I have also raised a ticket with NI since traktor 3 is crashing, they offer extensive tooling for system diagnostics to determine what is going on, I am hoping this hands me what I need to point out and isolate the driver as being faulty.

I have also sent them the error log that T3 generates, waiting for feedback now.

So what happened is simple, I have gone through pretty much every step there is to sort out and locate the issue.

Ended up reinstalling windows several times and with help from Traktor support found out there is an audio transfer problem.

It even got as far as a system crash stating that Xone_db4.sys was the culprit for the BSOD the mixer is generating.

I want to use ubuntu budgie remix 16.10, I'm dj and I have a MIDI controller that controls a sofware, called traktor pro. I use the controller in windows 7 ulltimate without problem, but I want to use it in ubuntu.

Sounds pretty good right? Enough to play music with Traktor. Anyway, while i'm playing I hear constantly cracking sounds throught my speakers. Sounds a little bit like you play some vinyl record but in a bad way. Hard to explain exactly. Also on my headphone I hear this ofcourse.

I try on different speakers as well, different traktor tables, replace cables, and tried on different locations, but all the same.

However, with my old windows laptop which got less of all the specs I don't have this problem.

Both laptops got a 3.0 usb port. I tried with 2.0 and 3.0 USB hub with own power supply but didn't work.

I tried many things, set-up everything as good as possible people and NI wrote on internet for your laptop settings. Sometimes the cracking sounds was loud and other times less. But I could't tell on which moments.

This problem many people had and for some people it was super easy to solve, others never found the solution..

So i'm sure it has to do something with this laptop. Some settings, or something else I didn't find yet. Maybe here someone got a new solution for me and ofcourse for many others.

Greetings,

Koen

After searching and trying many things I was getting so tired of this problem. Because it shouldn't be such a big issue. Specially not something that I have to change deeply in the windows system to solve a latency problem on a super new model. e24fc04721
