Anaesthesia when a hypertensive episodes following acute myocardial infarction.

Use to prevent bone marrow suppression due to folic acid antagonism, megaloblastic anaemia, Methotrexate Overdose, Methanol Poisoning And Trimethoprim toxicity.

Local anaesthesia, dental infiltration or nerve block, local infiltration, peripheral nerve block, sympathetic block and transtracheal anaesthetic.

Modarate to severe pain, obstretric analgesia, pre-operative analgesia, enhancement of anaesthesia, for basal narcosis with phenothiazines.

To treat epilepsy, Tonic-clonic statyus epilepticus, Seizure associated with neurosurgery

Hypokalemia treatment.

In treatment of metabolic acidosis and renal calculi caused by uric acid, renal failure, diabetic coma, or following cardiac arrest.

For blood pressure control in certain acute hypotensive state. As an adjunct in the treatment of cardiac arrest and profound hypotension.

 It may therefore be used in anaesthesia and in intensive care for certain conditions.

It also indicated as myocardial infarction and surgery. It is also indicated as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of acute pulmonary oedema secondary to left ventricular failure.
