Time management for teens is a basic soft skills that you should consider now so that you practice to establish a sound routine and be prepared for success.

Challenge 1: What is time management?
Time management refers to the way you organize and plan how you spend on specific activities. For teens time management is important to managing stress, understanding how priorities work, and minimizing distractions.

To Consider: Consider what study habits you have. Checklists are fine, but have you thought about what works for you? Time management requires both a strategic plan and knowing how you learn best. Most techniques taught do not consider how mindsets, values, skills, and the development of relationships encourages growth and the capacity to plan accordingly.

Challenge 2: Why is time management important?
In this challenge we will walk through "why time management is important" by completing your own self evaluation of your time usage and then begin a strategy to prioritize key areas in which to focus. Lists are simply not enough because distractions are inevitable. As a result, planning is key because it allows you to get organized and offers a sense of direction.

To Consider: Consider what a system might look like for you. Some students can complete tasks in "chunks" of time while others are more comfortable and effective mono-tasking. It is easy to lose sight and become distracted

Challenge 3: How does a meal plan help me to manage my time?
Just as we discussed in the previous challenge the steps to getting organized now we can explore the application process of time management.

To Consider: Consider what information that you have been taught about whether mental toughness can be taught. Do you agree or disagree? When you address an assignment or physical drill do you see yourself being successful in completing it. It is important to consider that the same fundamentals that you are required to know physically you must also consider them mentally.
REMEMBER: Experiencing growth with mental training can occur when you utilize your senses and actually put forth as much effort forward as you do physically.
