Trailside Fiddle Camp is a weeklong day camp for young musicians focusing on developing their knowledge of Scottish and Irish repertoire, being creative within the fiddle style, and exploring the outdoors. Focus is on the processes of learning tunes by ear, developing style, and arranging, and the week will culminate with an informal camper concert.
Camp is open to players of any string instrument (violin, viola, cello, or string bass) entering grades 7-12. Participants must have a minimum of 3 years experience playing their instrument, either with a private teacher or at school. No prior knowledge of fiddle music is required.

Camp will take place at the McKenna Pavilion on the property of the Nobscot Scout Reservation, 1 Nobscot Rd, Sudbury, MA, 01776.
Further instructions about parking and getting to the pavilion will be provided upon registration.
Camp runs Monday, July 27 to Friday, July 31, 2026. Saturday, August 1 will be used in the event of a weather cancellation.
Camp runs 9 AM - 3 PM daily.
