Our next Trails & Tails event is a scenic trail event for both runners and Canicrossers, set in the stunning East Yorkshire countryside.
4-mile or a more challenging 8-mile route, both on beautiful, runnable trails with gentle elevation and gorgeous views. Whether you’re running solo or with a four-legged friend, you’re in for a great morning out.
We’re based at Field House Coffee Barn, which means:
Plenty of parking
Proper toilets
Fantastic food and drink waiting for you at the finish line
It’s a chipped event, with medals for all, prizes, and special doggie awards too!
The timing of this event aligns with the main Canicross season (September to March/April), following DogFit guidance - we want tails wagging, not overheating!
We can’t wait to welcome you and your running buddies - two legs or four - on the start line.

No dog? No problem! We’ve had a few people ask if Trails & Tails is just for Canicrossers…
The answer? Absolutely not.
This event is for everyone who loves running on trails – whether you’re bringing a four-legged pal or just your own two feet.
So if you’re a solo runner looking for a scenic 4 or 8 miler, come join us! You’ll still get the stunning views, the medal, the cake, and the feel-good vibes.
With a staggered start and our canine friends heading off first, there’s enough space for everyone.
To keep every pup comfy and speeding safely on race day, your dog must be attached with a proper Canicross harness and line.
These harnesses are purpose‑built for pulling, letting your dog move freely and keeping you both in sync.
Don't use regular dog‑walking or “everyday” harnesses - they won’t be allowed on the start line.
Don't use restrictive harnesses such as Julius K9 chest‑strap styles - they won’t be allowed on the start line.

And the answer is: YES!
Up to 2 dogs per runner are welcome at Trails & Tails events
Just make sure everyone’s happy, safe, and comfy on the day – and you’re good to go.
