 Biography

I am an Assistant Professor at Western Washington University. I teach physics and science education courses. I conduct collaborative research on the professional experiences of undergraduate students, science teachers, and physics faculty with a focus on equity and justice in physics.

I grew up in Vietnam along the coast of the Pacific Ocean, on the other side of which now I reside. My work is conducted through a multidimensional lens of my being as a Vietnamese immigrant, an Asian woman in physics, and a Ph.D holder who is the first generation in my family to pursue higher education. I love camping and road-tripping. When I not working, I might be found working on knitting projects like socks, sweaters, cardigans, and beanies.
