Your privacy comes first

No account. No sign-in. No personal information is collected by Trading Basic from you as an app user.

Lesson progress, bookmarks, quiz scores, badges, dictionary learning activity, and app preferences you manage are stored locally on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data, including how Google AdMob advertising works in the app.

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Trading Basic is built to help you learn trading and market concepts — including market fundamentals, stocks, forex, cryptocurrency basics, commodities, market orders, risk management, technical and fundamental analysis, trading psychology, chart basics, and a trading dictionary — with confidence. We designed this app so you can use these educational tools without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:

Your name

Your phone number

Your email address

Your home or mailing address

Your date of birth

Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, etc.)

Photos, contacts, or camera data

Precise GPS location

Financial account numbers, brokerage credentials, or trading data

No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

To support your learning experience, Trading Basic stores the following locally on your device only (Android Room database and DataStore preferences):

Completed lesson progress

Bookmarked lessons and topics

Recently opened lessons

Quiz scores and earned badges

App settings (such as dark/light/system theme preference and text size)

Educational lesson content, dictionary terms, chart examples (fictional educational data), and quiz activity remain on your device. This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not linked to your identity as an app user. Data shown in the app remains on your device — we do not receive it as personal user profile data.

4. Local, On-Device Processing

Trading Basic is designed for local processing. Core features — including the home dashboard, learning categories, lessons, search, bookmarks, trading dictionary, chart basics, quizzes, progress tracking, and settings — run on your device using locally stored content and preferences.

Your learning progress, bookmarks, quiz results, and preferences are not sent to our servers for storage or processing. You can browse most educational content without an internet connection.

An internet connection is needed for displaying advertisements (see Section 6) and if you choose to open external links such as support email or help resources.

5. Data Display and Sharing

All lessons, dictionary terms, chart examples, quizzes, and progress information displayed in the app are read from on-device content and local storage. If you share screenshots or information through your device's standard share options, that sharing is handled by your device and the app you choose — we do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us (for example, by email).

You are responsible for keeping any exported or shared information secure.

6. Advertising

Trading Basic displays advertisements through Google AdMob to help keep the app free to use. Ad formats may include banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads shown when you navigate between sections.

Google and its advertising partners may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, approximate location (derived from IP address), app interactions with ads, and technical device data to deliver, measure, and improve ads. This data is handled according to Google's policies, not stored by us as a personal user profile.

You can limit ad personalization on your device through:

Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

7. Third-Party Services

Core app features run on your device. The app does not send your lesson progress, bookmarks, quiz scores, or preferences to external conversion or cloud services.

Google AdMob is used to serve advertisements. When you use optional actions such as sending email to support or opening a web link, those actions are handled by the respective platform or app you choose — not by Trading Basic collecting additional data from you.

8. Cookies and Tracking

The app itself does not use browser cookies. We do not operate our own analytics or cross-app tracking services within Trading Basic.

Advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may use identifiers permitted by your device and Android settings to measure ad performance. We do not build personal profiles about you based on your in-app learning activity beyond what is required for ad delivery through AdMob.

9. Network and Permissions

The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:

Internet access — required for loading and displaying advertisements through Google AdMob

Network state — used to check connectivity for ad loading

Advertising ID — used by Google AdMob for ad delivery and measurement on supported devices

We do not request access to contacts, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, biometric authentication, or precise location. There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app.

Your locally stored learning progress, bookmarks, quiz results, and preferences remain on your device during normal app use.

10. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your lesson progress, bookmarks, quiz scores, badges, and preferences remain on your device unless you explicitly share content outside the app.

App preferences are stored using DataStore on your device, and progress data is stored using Room. You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your device settings.

11. Children's Privacy

This app is intended as an educational tool for people who want to learn basic trading and market concepts. It is designed as a learning utility and does not require personal information from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Content in the app is for education and information only and is not financial advice.

12. Your Choices and Rights

Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:

Settings → Apps → Trading Basic → Storage → Clear storage

Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored lesson progress, bookmarks, quiz scores, badges, and app preferences from the app's private storage area.
