Tradiary ("the app") is developed by Sanad Amireh. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
DATA STORAGE
All trading data you enter into Tradiary — trades, tags, notes, attachments, habit rules, habit check-ins, emotion tags, and impulse log entries — is stored only on your device, in a local database. This data is never uploaded to us or to any server we control. We do not operate a backend, and we do not collect, see, or have access to your trading data.
AI COACH (OPTIONAL FEATURE)
If you choose to use the AI Coach feature, you must supply your own API key for Claude (Anthropic), GPT (OpenAI), or Gemini (Google). When you send a message to the AI Coach:
- A summary of your trading data (statistics, recent trades, habit compliance — never your raw full history) is included as context.
- The app shows you exactly what will be sent before each request.
- This data is sent directly from your device to the AI provider you selected, using your own API key and account. We do not see, log, or store this data ourselves.
- Use of the AI provider is subject to that provider's own privacy policy and terms (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google, depending on which you choose).
If you do not use the AI Coach feature, no data ever leaves your device.
API KEYS
Your AI provider API key is stored using Android's encrypted, on-device secure storage (Keystore-backed). It is never transmitted to us and never stored in the app's regular database or backups.
DATA YOU EXPORT
The app includes an optional backup/export feature (JSON or CSV) that lets you save a copy of your data and share it via your device's share sheet — for example, to save it to cloud storage or email it to yourself. This is entirely user-initiated; the app does not do this automatically.
PERMISSIONS
- Internet: used only to contact your chosen AI provider when you use the AI Coach feature.
- File access (for importing MT5 statements and attaching trade screenshots): handled via Android's standard file/photo picker, which does not grant the app broad storage access.
ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING
Tradiary does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not collect usage data.
DATA DELETION
Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling the app deletes all of your trading data. There is no account or server-side copy to separately request deletion of.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "last updated" date.
