Privacy Policy for TrackIt (iOS)

TrackIt ("TrackIt," "the app," "we," "us") is a personal time-tracking app for iOS and iPadOS, developed by Ambrose Kommu. This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you use TrackIt.

The short version

TrackIt does not collect, transmit, or sell any of your personal data. Everything you track stays on your device, or in your own personal iCloud account if you enable iCloud sync. We never see it.

Data we collect

None. TrackIt has no analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind, and no backend server of our own. We do not know who you are, how you use the app, or what you track.

Information stored on your device

The tasks, sessions, goals, and settings you create in TrackIt are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database frameworks. This information never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud sync (see below).

iCloud sync

If you sign in to iCloud on your device and enable sync, TrackIt uses Apple's CloudKit framework to sync your data between your own devices, using your personal iCloud account. This sync:

• goes directly between your devices and your private iCloud database — never to a server we operate;

• is encrypted and managed entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy;

• is not accessible to us. We have no ability to view, access, or export your synced data.

Notifications

TrackIt may send local notifications, such as goal reminders. These are scheduled and delivered entirely by your device's operating system and are never sent through any server.

Accounts

TrackIt does not require you to create an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying information.

Children's privacy

TrackIt does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction), because it does not collect information from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if we add a feature that collects data in the future — we will update this page and revise the "Effective date" above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
