Volunteers

Why Volunteer?

·         It helps make the meet progress more quickly

·         It gives coaches the opportunity to make sure kids are in their events

·         It gives coaches a better opportunity to coach your kids

·         The highest volunteer need is for timing during the 100 and 200 meter events

Timing

• Where we need the most help

• We appoint a head timer

Misnomers

·         I have to be there for the entire meet

o   We will graciously accept any time that you have to give

·         I will not get to see my child’s event

o   You are more than welcome to leave and come back to watch your child in an event

·         I may make a mistake

o   This is not possible.  A lead is appointed to each area to ensure this does not happen

Ideas

·         Consider splitting time / taking shifts with another parent
