Tracheostomy is a common procedure in the current healthcare practice. Incorrect care and handling of a tracheostomized patient can lead to several avoidable grave complications and may often prove fatal. All healthcare professionals as well as care providers must acquire competence in attending to tracheostomized patients, by updating relevant knowledge and skills pertaining to the same. We have come to realize, that there is a dearth for such training opportunities.

The KINDER E.N.T - Head & Neck Surgery department (KENTCARE) in association with A.O.I., Cochin chapter and CSOM , takes pleasure in inviting you to a dedicated “TRACHEOSTOMY CARE COURSE”.

We seek to improve the personalized learning experience by providing hands-on training on Mannequins at workstations in addition to didactic lectures by experienced faculty and instructors. A Clinical competency assessment shall be conducted at the end of the course to boost the level of confidence of the attendees / course trainees. CME points are being applied for the same.

We appreciate your keen interest and hope to make the training sessions as practically useful as possible. Therefore , it would be highly recommended to go though the basic course material ( being provided in the RESOURCES TAB ) prior to attending the course.

We’d also like to assure you, that all COVID protocols will be adhered to ,during the course .
