Privacy Policy
TRACA has no accounts, no login, and no analytics. Almost everything it knows about you never leaves your phone.
Your name, chosen face, favourites and finished traces are stored only on your device. The camera is used live, on-device, to show artwork over your paper — nothing is recorded or sent anywhere. Reference photos stay on your device and are never uploaded. We download drawings from our servers; we don't upload anything about you to them. Delete the app and the data goes with it, with one exception described below.
WHO WE ARE
TRACA is an iOS app that lets you trace reference artwork by overlaying it on your camera view while you draw on paper. This policy covers the TRACA iOS app only. Questions: [manali.devloper@gmail.com].
WHAT'S STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
The app keeps a small local profile so it can remember your setup between launches. None of it is transmitted to us: display name, chosen face, skill/interest answers, favourites, finished traces, time in app, free traces used, subscription status, and cached artwork (for offline use).
One thing that outlives the app: your free-trace count is also stored in the device's secure keychain, so the free allowance can't be reset by reinstalling. It contains nothing but a number, and is removed only if you erase your device or reset its keychain.
CAMERA
Camera access is needed to overlay artwork on a live view of your paper. The feed is processed on-device and never recorded, stored, or transmitted — a frame is saved only if you press the shutter/record button, and it goes to your own photo library, not to us. You can revoke camera access in Settings > TRACA > Camera; tracing won't work without it, but the rest of the app will.
PHOTOS
Saving captures: taking a photo/video while tracing asks for add-only photo library access — the app can save new items but can't read, browse, or delete existing ones. Free-plan captures carry a small on-device watermark; PRO removes it.
Using your own reference: "Upload a reference" opens the system photo picker. Despite the word "upload," the image goes nowhere — it's held in memory for that session only, never saved or sent anywhere, and discarded when you close the app. The picker only gives the app the one image you select.
WHAT LEAVES YOUR DEVICE
TRACA catalogue server — requests the artwork list (no personal data) to load categories/drawings.
Image CDN — requests specific artwork files to download for tracing.
RevenueCat — receives an anonymous subscriber ID, purchase receipts, device/OS version, to verify subscription status.
Apple — handles payment entirely via the App Store; we never see payment details.
As with any internet request, contacted servers can see your IP address and standard connection info, used only to deliver the requested content. The app also links out to Instagram, the App Store, Apple's subscription settings, and our help page — each governed by its own privacy policy once opened.
Crash reporting --- TRACA uses Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to collect anonymous crash reports, such as the device model, iOS version and the state of the app when it crashed. We use this only to find and fix bugs. It is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising or tracking. Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
SUBSCRIPTIONS
TRACA PRO is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store; Apple takes payment and we never receive card details. RevenueCat manages subscription status using a randomly generated anonymous ID, not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID. Manage or cancel anytime via Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions, or the profile link in-app.
WHAT WE NEVER DO
No accounts, sign-up, or passwords. No analytics or behavior-tracking SDKs. No advertising or ad identifiers. No cross-app/site tracking. No selling, renting, or sharing data. No uploading your photos, drawings, or captures. Because we collect no email or account info, we hold nothing that identifies you personally.
CHILDREN
TRACA is general-audience and not directed at children under 13; we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Parents wanting to restrict purchases should use Apple's Screen Time and Ask to Buy controls.
YOUR CHOICES
Edit your name/face anytime from the profile screen. Revoke camera/photo permissions in Settings > TRACA. Delete the app to remove your profile, history, and cached artwork (the keychain free-trace count is the one exception — see Section 2). You may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data; we hold none identifying you, but you can write in if you believe otherwise.
RETENTION
Data stays on your device until you delete it or the app. We run no user database, so there's nothing else for us to retain. Server logs from artwork requests are kept only as long as needed to run and secure the service.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Material changes will update the date above and be flagged in the app.We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
