Head Varsity Coach: Jan Guevara
Jan Guevara (Coach Jan) joins Torrey Pines High School as the Girls' and Boys' Head Tennis Coach for the 2025–27 season. This marks her sixth season leading a high school tennis program.
Coach Jan brings a lifelong passion for tennis and a deep commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the court. Inspired by her father, she began playing tennis at an early age and continued through college, USTA leagues, and competitive tournaments. She is a PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) Certified Professional and has dedicated her career to coaching high school athletes while providing private instruction to players of all levels.
"Coaching is all about the student," says Coach Jan. "It's about teaching the mental, emotional, and physical fundamentals that extend far beyond the court—helping young people grow into confident, resilient, and compassionate leaders who are prepared to make meaningful contributions in today's global community."
Coach Jan is honored to continue the rich championship tradition of the Torrey Pines Falcons tennis program. She is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, teamwork, and continuous growth while inspiring every player to reach their highest potential both as athletes and as individuals.
