Location and travel

Durham is a historic city in the North-East of England, home to Durham Cathedral, part of UNESCO Durham World Heritage Site, and England’s third-oldest university, founded in 1832.

• The workshop will run mid-day March 23rd to early afternoon March 24th
• We are 40 mins from Newcastle international airport or 3 hours by train from London
• The workshop location is the Calman Learning Centre, Durham University, Durham DH1 3LE:
  • Talks: Ken Wade Lecture Theatre (2nd floor)
  • Posters: Kingsley Barrett room (4th floor)
  • Lunch / coffee: Derman Christopherson room (4th floor)
• Accommodation is at University College (Durham Castle), Palace Green, DH1 3RW and at Collingwood College, South Road, Durham DH1 3LT.
• We also very much hope that you will also join us for the workshop dinner, a 3-course banquet in the Great Hall of Durham Castle
