If you want a wired, over-ear solution for long work-from-home sessions with passive isolation and zero battery anxiety, choose TP Philips; if you need wireless freedom, all-day battery life with quick charging, and IPX4 water resistance for active use, choose Urbanista Copenhagen 2.
• TP Philips: The standout strength is its lightweight, adjustable over-ear design with a 2-meter cable that offers total freedom of movement without worrying about power. Its biggest trade-off is the lack of modern wireless features or active noise cancellation, relying instead on passive isolation from large ear cups. This pick is for the home office worker who prioritizes comfort during marathon calls and doesn't mind being tethered to a desk or laptop.
• Urbanista Copenhagen 2: The standout strength is its impressive 36-hour total playtime, Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, and IPX4 waterproof rating, making it perfect for moving around the house or stepping outside. Its biggest trade-off is the in-ear form factor, which some may find less comfortable for hours-long listening compared to over-ear designs. This pick is for the remote professional who values portability, needs to move freely, and wants a device that can handle sweat and splashes.
The TP Philips SHP1900/10 is built for the person who treats their headphones as a permanent fixture of their workspace rather than an accessory they toss in a bag. The design centers on comfort and stability over a long period. With extra-large ear cups that completely enclose the ear, these headphones provide a significant amount of passive noise isolation simply by virtue of their physical seal. For someone working from home, this means ambient distractions like household chatter or street noise are dampened naturally without needing electronic processing.
The lightweight construction is a critical feature here. Weighing only 195 grams, the headphones are designed so you often forget you are wearing them. The adjustable headband ensures a secure fit regardless of your head size, while the flexible materials adapt to your individual shape. When you are sitting at a desk for eight hours straight, every gram counts, and the absence of heavy batteries or electronics makes this model exceptionally easy to wear for extended periods.

However, this product is strictly for those who do not mind being wired. The 2-meter cable provides ample room to stand up and walk around the room, but it ultimately anchors you to your audio source. There is no Bluetooth, no touch controls, and no app integration. If you are looking for the best open ear headphones for work from home, this isn't the one; it is an on-ear experience wrapped in an over-ear shell. It is ideal for the user who wants high-fidelity audio with a 40-millimeter dynamic driver and 32-ohm impedance, delivering clear sound without the complexity of pairing devices or managing charge cycles. You should skip this if you need to take calls while walking around the kitchen or if you prefer the convenience of a true wireless setup.
The Urbanista Copenhagen 2 targets a different kind of remote worker—one who thrives on mobility and modern connectivity. These in-ear headphones utilize Bluetooth 5.4 to ensure a stable connection within a 10-meter range, allowing you to leave your computer to grab a coffee or stretch without losing your audio stream. The inclusion of a dedicated charging case extends the usability significantly, offering a total of 36 hours of playback time. This means you can likely go days between top-ups, with a rapid 10-minute charge providing two hours of additional listening if you forget to plug it in overnight.
Durability and versatility are central to this design. With an IPX4 waterproof rating, these headphones are resistant to sweat and splashes, making them suitable not just for the office but also for a run or a workout session at home. This feature is particularly relevant if you are looking for the best ipx7 waterproof head phones for work from home (though technically rated IPX4, they offer robust protection against moisture). The compact, Scandi-Chic aesthetic keeps them unobtrusive, and the included app allows for an adjustable EQ, letting you fine-tune the bass and treble to match your specific taste or environment.
That said, the in-ear bud design presents a different set of considerations. While they feature Active Noise Cancellation and a noise-canceling microphone for clear calls, they rely on a seal inside the ear canal to function effectively. Some users find over-ear models more breathable for all-day wear, whereas in-ear buds can cause pressure or fatigue after several hours. If you prioritize crystal-clear voice recognition for meetings and want to block out background noise actively, this model excels. However, if you prefer the spacious soundstage of larger drivers or the cooling effect of open-back designs, you might find the sealed nature of these buds less appealing. This product is for the user who needs a balance of style, battery life, and active features in a portable package.

The combination of a lightweight build, large ear cups, and a 2-meter cable creates a setup that feels less intrusive during long days of video conferencing and focused work. The lack of battery anxiety is a genuine productivity booster, and the passive isolation is sufficient for most home environments. However, if your work involves frequent movement, outdoor tasks, or if you prioritize the latest wireless standards and active noise cancellation, the Urbanista Copenhagen 2 is the superior choice. It is a more versatile tool for the modern, mobile lifestyle, even if the in-ear form factor requires a bit more adjustment for all-day comfort.
