Installing the TP-LINK AC1200 Extender Setup


  1. The first step is to connect your TP-Link Wi-Fi extender to the power supply.

  2. Link it to your machine with the help of an Ethernet cable.

  3. Opening a web browser on your computer is important.

  4. Select tplinkrepeater.net in the search bar

  5. Otherwise, say 192.168.0.254 and click the Enter button on your screen.

  6. Click the Fast Setup tab and select the Next button.

  7. Enter your zone and press Next again.

  8. Now, the TP-Link extender continues to search for a list of networks available. Checking can take a few minutes.

  9. Pick your wireless network from the list shown and click Next.

  10. State your username and password in the next prompt that appears.

  11. Make sure you enter the correct password. You won't be able to log in by entering an incorrect password.

  12. Read the manual for the TP Link wifi extender carefully.

(Power-saving allows the plan mode to be switched off if there is no wifi in use. To maintain power and uncommon WiFi repeater system service, you can plan several days and timings.


  • Go to Advanced-Power Plan Configuration

  • Power Off Time: Set sleep time or when WiFi has not been used to automatically turn off the Repeater system.

  • Days: Pick the days when you would like to set the scheduled power of the booster unit.

  • Click the Save button to apply changes and to activate power saving mode.

TP-LINK AC1200 Extender Setup via WPS


  1. If your current wireless network is operated by WPS, follow the steps below if you want to set up your extender using the WPS button.

  2. Press the WPS button on the Extender for 5 seconds and hold it.The front WPS LED picture is supposed to blink.

  3. Push the WPS button on your wireless router, gateway, or access point within 2 minutes. And wait at least 2 minutes before connecting with the extender to your existing wireless network. If it is successful, the 2.4 GHz Link Rate LED lights up when the WPS LED on your Extender turns solid green.

  4. Your QuillBot will rewrite the file. Note: if the 2.4 GHz Connection Rate LED does not light up, repeat steps 1 and 2 or make sure that WPS is enabled by your router. Just repeat steps 1 and 2 to connect the Extender to the 5 GHz band if your router supports the 5 GHz band.

  5. The extended network for each relevant band is broadcast as "network name 2GEXT" and "network name 5GEXT" once the extender setup is complete. You will connect to the network of the extender using the same password as the network of the router.
