If you want extra bass head phones for exercise with a secure, lightweight fit and rapid connectivity, choose TOZO NC9; if you need best headphone for exercise sessions that demand long-duration wear, superior isolation from travel noise, and versatile audio sharing, choose iKmai Headphone Hybrid Noise.
• TOZO NC9: Delivers deep, punchy bass with a hybrid 3-layer noise cancellation system and an impressive 13-hour single-charge battery life, but the in-ear design may not suit those who prefer over-ear comfort during extended wear.
• iKmai Headphone Hybrid Noise: Offers massive 75-hour total playtime, premium leather earpads for all-day comfort, and unique Auracast group listening features, though its bulky over-ear form factor makes it less ideal for high-intensity sweating or running.
• Who picks which: Choose TOZO NC9 if your priority is active movement and portable convenience; choose iKmai if you prioritize endurance, comfort, and multi-device audio experiences.
The TOZO NC9 is engineered specifically for people who live an active lifestyle and need their audio gear to keep up without getting in the way. The defining feature here is the hybrid 3-layer Active Noise Cancellation. Unlike simpler systems that just block sound out, this unit uses an outward-facing microphone to detect external noise and counter it, followed by an inward-facing microphone that listens inside the ear canal to cancel any remaining internal sounds. This dual-action approach, combined with ear caps designed to prevent 90% of noise from entering the canal, creates a genuinely immersive environment. For someone trying to focus on a workout playlist while the gym is loud, this layering of technology is a significant advantage.
Battery performance is another critical area where these earbuds shine. You get over 13 hours of playtime on a single charge, which is substantial enough to last through multiple weeks of daily workouts without needing to touch the case. Even when you enable the Active Noise Cancellation mode, you still retain over 7 hours of listening time. When paired with the compact charging case, the total capacity extends to 27 extra hours, ensuring you rarely face a dead battery mid-session. The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.3 further guarantees a stable connection with low latency, meaning there is no annoying lag between your music and your movements.
However, this product is not for everyone. If you have sensitive ears that dislike the feeling of something being pushed into the canal, or if you plan to wear headphones for eight straight hours while traveling, the in-ear design might become uncomfortable. The 9-millimeter dynamic drivers provide the "deep bass" marketing promises often associated with this brand, making them excellent for genres like hip-hop or electronic dance music where rhythm is key. But the trade-off is the lack of the cushioned, over-ear feel found in larger models. They are best suited for the person who wants a "set it and forget it" experience during runs, gym sessions, or commutes where portability is non-negotiable.

The iKmai Headphone Hybrid Noise is built for the user who values comfort and endurance above all else. This is an over-ear solution, featuring soft leather earpads and an adjustable headband designed explicitly for all-day wearing. If you are looking for best deep bass bluetooth earbuds for exercise that also doubles as a primary travel companion, this model stands out because it prioritizes physical comfort. The padding and structure suggest a device meant to be worn for long flights, long workdays, or long training blocks where pressure points on the ears would be unacceptable.
The noise cancellation on this unit is equally robust, boasting a Premium 5-Mic Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation capable of blocking up to 40dB of noise. This level of isolation is formidable, effectively silencing the hum of airplane engines or the chatter of a busy office. With a claimed 75 hours of playtime, it dwarfs most competitors in the category. You can go weeks without plugging in the USB-C charging cable. Additionally, the inclusion of Auracast Music Sharing allows you to transmit audio to other Auracast headsets via public codes, supporting bulk purchases for group listening or simply sharing your music with a friend who has compatible gear.
This product is the clear winner for travelers and home listeners who do not mind a bit of bulk. The package includes a drawstring pouch, a 3.5mm audio cable, and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, covering almost every connectivity base. However, the size and weight inherent to an over-ear design make it a poor choice for intense cardio or hot yoga where sweat management and ventilation are concerns. It is also heavier than true wireless alternatives. If your primary use case involves sitting down, working, or traveling by plane, the iKmai offers a premium, comfortable experience that in-ear buds simply cannot match.
• Best for battery longevity → iKmai Headphone Hybrid Noise: With 75 hours of total playtime compared to TOZO's 27 hours (including case), iKmai wins decisively for marathon users.
• Best for active sports and running → TOZO NC9: The lightweight, in-ear design and IPX6 waterproof rating make it far more practical for sweaty, high-movement activities.
• Best for deep, customizable bass → TOZO NC9: The app integration allows for 32 preset modes to fine-tune the sound profile, offering more control over the specific bass response.
• Best for travel and isolation → iKmai Headphone Hybrid Noise: The 40dB noise reduction and over-ear seal provide superior passive and active isolation for noisy environments like planes.
• Best for group listening → iKmai Headphone Hybrid Noise: The support for Auracast and audio sharing via public codes is a unique feature absent from the TOZO specifications.
• Best for quick pairing and portability → TOZO NC9: One-step pairing and a tiny carrying case make it infinitely easier to toss in a pocket or gym bag.
• Best for long-term comfort → iKmai Headphone Hybrid Noise: Soft leather earpads and an adjustable headband are superior for hours of continuous wear compared to silicone tips.
• Best value for tech-savvy users → TOZO NC9: The inclusion of the TOZO App for customization adds significant value for those who like to tweak their EQ settings.
After weighing the specs and design philosophies, I would personally buy the iKmai Headphone Hybrid Noise for my daily commute and travel needs. The combination of 40dB noise cancellation and soft leather earpads solves the two biggest pain points of modern audio: distraction and discomfort. While the TOZO NC9 is a fantastic piece of engineering for the gym, the iKmai's massive battery life and versatility make it a more useful tool for general life. However, if your primary goal is finding the best headphone for exercise where you need something that stays put while you sprint or lift heavy weights, the TOZO NC9 is the only logical choice due to its secure, waterproof fit. For me, the comfort and isolation of the iKmai outweigh the portability of the TOZO, especially since I spend more time sitting or walking than running intensely.
The TOZO NC9 is better for intense workouts due to its IPX6 waterproof rating and secure in-ear fit, whereas the iKmai's over-ear design is better suited for lighter activity or travel.
The iKmai Headphone Hybrid Noise offers significantly longer playtime at 75 hours total, while the TOZO NC9 provides 13 hours per charge plus 27 hours from the case.
Only the iKmai Headphone Hybrid Noise supports Auracast Music Sharing, allowing you to transmit audio to other compatible headsets for group listening.
No, both units feature hardware-based noise cancellation controls, though the TOZO NC9 allows for additional sound tuning via its dedicated mobile app.
