Research Topics
Our overall research direction is on how we can advance artificial intelligence. AI has been getting paid attention from societies, and the area is very broad including NLP (natural language processing), Computer Vision, etc. Our research lab won't limit us to select particular areas. If someone likes to work on NLP, that's totally fine. We have focused on graph neural networks recently, thus let us list up some of representative research work below. But again we should continue to think broadly what we should in the artificial intelligence area.
Our lab firstly wants to tackle real-world problems first by collaborating with industrial partners. A first set of outcomes could go to a bit application-oriented conferences such as RecSys, but by abstracting away all those findings from lessons in application-oriented research, we would like to also work on more fundamental research themes such as new graph neural network model and transformer models that could be applicable to a wide area of applications.
Our motto: "It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change" by Charles Darwin.
