1) Overview
ToWh is a gamification app that helps groups decide what to eat or where to go through anonymous voting with a mystery tone. The app currently works primarily offline and does not require account creation.
This Privacy Policy explains what information ToWh and its service providers (such as advertising partners) may process.
2) Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
ToWh may allow you to enter player names and a decision topic.
This information is stored locally on your device to support game flow and local history. It is not sent to our servers in the current version.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
ToWh itself does not directly collect personal data to our servers at this stage (no sign-in, no user profiles, no analytics).
However, advertising services used by the app may collect and process certain information automatically as described below.
3) Advertising (Google AdMob)
ToWh displays ads using Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect and use information to provide, measure, and improve ads, including personalized advertising.
3.1 Data AdMob May Collect
Depending on your device settings, region, and consent choices, AdMob may collect or process:
Advertising ID (or similar device identifiers)
IP address (often used for approximate location and fraud prevention)
Device information (model, OS version, language, app version)
Ad interactions (impressions, clicks, diagnostics)
Approximate location derived from IP (not precise GPS location)
This data is processed by Google and/or its advertising partners under their own privacy policies.
3.2 Personalized Ads and Consent (EEA/UK/Switzerland)
Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), ToWh will present a consent choice for personalized advertising. You may be offered:
Personalized ads, or
Non-personalized ads (contextual ads)
Your choices may be managed via a consent prompt and/or device settings, and may be changeable later within the app (if provided) or via Google ad settings.
3.3 Opt-Out Options
You can reduce personalization by:
Adjusting your device advertising/privacy settings, and/or
Using Google’s ad settings controls (where available)
Note: Opting out of personalization does not necessarily stop ads; it may change them to non-personalized ads.
4) Data Sharing
4.1 Sharing by ToWh
ToWh does not sell your personal information.
In the current version, ToWh does not send your game content (topic/player names/history) to our servers.
4.2 Sharing via Advertising Providers
AdMob (Google) may share data with its partners for advertising delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and compliance. This sharing is governed by Google’s terms and policies.
5) Data Stored on Your Device
ToWh stores certain information locally, such as:
Onboarding completion state (e.g., “seen onboarding”)
App settings (theme, sound, etc., if enabled)
Game history and player names (if you use those features)
This data remains on your device unless you remove it.
6) Data Retention
Local data stays on your device until you delete it by:
clearing the app storage (device settings), or
uninstalling the app.
Advertising-related data retention is handled by Google/AdMob under their policies.
7) Children’s Privacy (13+)
ToWh is not directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app (e.g., entered identifiable details), contact us at Sohrab.niroo@gmail.com and we will provide guidance on removing local app data.
8) Security
We aim to minimize data handling and keep most app content local. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but limiting server-side data reduces exposure risk. Advertising partners operate under their own security measures and policies.
9) International Users
ToWh may be downloaded worldwide. Advertising partners (like Google) may process data on servers located in different countries, depending on their infrastructure and legal requirements.
10) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as ToWh evolves (for example: adding sign-in, cloud sync, analytics, or notifications). We will update the effective date and publish the revised version at the same URL.
