This policy explains what information the mobile game TowerPulse: Overload (the "Game") collects, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Game only.
The Game can be played without creating an account or entering any personal details.
An anonymous account is created automatically so your progress can be backed up.
If you choose to sign in with Google, we additionally receive your email address.
If you appear on the leaderboard, your nickname, avatar, country and scores are publicly visible.
We show ads and measure gameplay using Google services. We never sell your data.
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time — see Account & Data Deletion.
Anonymous user ID (UID) — created automatically on first launch, so we can store and restore your saved game in the cloud.
Email address — only if you sign in with Google, so your saved game stays linked to your Google account and survives reinstalling or changing device.
Your email address is never shown in full inside the Game; it is displayed in a masked form (for example ab***@gmail.com).
Your saved game — level progress, in-game currencies, unlocked items, purchase entitlements and settings — is stored on your device and backed up to Google Cloud Firestore under your user ID. This lets you restore your progress after reinstalling the Game.
Please read this section before using the leaderboard.
If your result is submitted to the leaderboard, the following becomes readable by any other player of the Game: your nickname, your selected avatar, your country, and your scores (highest stage, best wave, win rate). Please do not use your real name, an email address or any other personal detail as your nickname. Avatars are chosen from a fixed set of images provided by us — you cannot upload your own image.
Your country is derived from your device's language/region setting. The Game does not use GPS or location services and does not request location permission.
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the Game is played so we can fix problems and improve balance. The events we record are:
app_open — app version and platform
tutorial_step — which tutorial step was reached, completed or skipped
run_end — how a run ended and at which stage
iap_grant — which product was granted after a purchase
ad_watched — ad format and where in the Game it was shown
offline_claim — offline rewards collected
These events contain gameplay values only — no names, no email addresses, no message content. Firebase also collects standard technical information such as device model, operating system version, country, and an app instance identifier.
The Game shows banner, interstitial and rewarded ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may process your device's advertising identifier, IP address and ad interactions.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent screen is shown before personalised ads are used, and you can change your choice later. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
Players who purchase the ad-free product will not be shown ads for the duration of that product.
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. We never receive or store your card number, billing address or any other payment details. We only record which product was granted to your account so we can deliver it and restore it on another device.
A small number of invited testers can share a gameplay diagnostics file with us using their device's normal share menu. This is always started by the tester, never automatic, and the file contains gameplay balance values only.
We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, files or SMS.
We do not use GPS or request location permission.
We do not collect your real name, phone number, postal address or payment details.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
We do not sell or rent personal data. Data is processed on our behalf by the following service providers:
Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics) — account, cloud save, leaderboard and analytics. Policy: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google AdMob — advertising. Policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Google Play — distribution and in-app purchases. Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Leaderboard entries are, by design, visible to other players of the Game as described in section 2.3.
Data is processed on Google's servers, which may be located outside your country, including in the United States. Google applies appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Your account and cloud save are kept while your account exists, and are removed when you request deletion.
Leaderboard entries are kept for the duration of the season they belong to, and are removed if you delete your account.
Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Firebase and is not linked to your name or email.
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
Delete your account and data — see Account & Data Deletion.
Play without an account — you do not have to sign in with Google. Signing in is optional and only used to protect your progress.
Change your leaderboard nickname — you can change it at any time in the Game's profile screen.
Ad choices — reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings; change your consent choice where the consent screen is shown.
Access, correction, objection, portability — if you are in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, California or another region with similar rights, you may contact us to exercise them. We respond within 30 days.
Our legal bases for processing (where the GDPR applies) are: performance of a contract (providing the Game and your saved progress), legitimate interests (security, fixing problems, improving the Game), and consent (personalised advertising, where the consent screen applies).
The Game is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the Game changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Significant changes will be announced inside the Game or on this page.
