Vehicle Activated Signs (VAS)

Vehicle Activated Signs (VAS)

There are a number of active signs around Town which are helping to reduce speeding in the Town, they collect data about speeding Vehicles. The last sign was put on Northampton Road, (Sponsored by the Town Council) and is working well, as you approach your speed is monitored and it will tell you if you are at the correct speed. Thanks to all who obey the signs.

The Watch maintains these signs, batteries need to be changed and some need to be moved around.

Speed Kills and that's why there is a 30 mph limit.

We have two groups who need help so if you can spare a little time it would be greatly appreciated.

There have been a number of concerned residents reporting speeding motorists in the Town, this is the latest information from our VAS team.

A Police camera van is quite active was in situ on Brackley Road opposite the Cemetary, beware some of these speeders will be caught and receive an appropriate penalty.

A device has now been configured to also capture vehicles travelling up the Northampton Road towards the A43 so we hope to be able to report data.

There have also been reports of Speeding Motorcycles along Buckingham Way, we are sure that our Van will be active along that Route soon.
