Born and raised in New York, of Greek-American parents, Chrysostomos (Andreas) Tromboukis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece. A chanter, choirmaster, composer, conductor, music teacher, Chrysostomos Tromboukis also holds the five-year diploma in Byzantine Chant and European Music. Being a chanter in various Orthodox Christian Churches in North America and in Greece. Author of “Memorial Service Explanatory Guide: Gateway to everlasting Peace,” “Vigilance: Wise instruction on spiritual warfare,” “Ellampsis – Ἔλλαμψις Journal series – Book 1,” “Blessing my Baby from birth to forty days.”
Among his English Academic Translations includes the 300-page volume (translated in fourteen languages), with the title “Hagia Sophia: The Churches of the Wisdom of God around the world”. Thirty-seven historic churches dedicated to the Wisdom of God, from Scotland to China are included and presented in this volume. This volume is the result of collaboration between the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (I.A.O.) with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and the “Utilization of Orthodox Heritage and Interreligious Dialogue”, and among other things, it brought to light the underlying, yet prominent, idea in Christian theology known as the “Wisdom of God” and the ecclesiology that has developed and been followed throughout the centuries. This volume is a project with the scientific responsibility of the University of Athens and awarded by the Academy of Athens, published by the I.A.O. (www.eiao.org), printed and bound by the Directorate of Publications and printouts of the Hellenic Parliament.
