These are the various timelines we created to visual display different events that have effected tourism in Venice. Below the timelines include a graph that compares the total number of tourist beds to the total resident population in Venice and another graph displaying the tourists in Venice per year. When displayed next to the timelines you can see the drops and increases in tourist numbers coordinate with major events and laws.
This is a look at the current Venice dashboard. Many of the widgets are now obsolete and take up valuable space. We will be updating the dashboard and help remake the obsolete widgets to incorporate live data yet again.
This is the new design for the Venice Dashboard with updated widgets and a more user friendly interface. The user can now go through and add widgets to create their own customizable dashboard catered towards their needs. The new dashboard is targeted towards people working towards sustainable tourism including the people working for the SmartDest Project, future WPI IQP students, city officials, and stakeholders involved in tourism in Venice.
As a part of our contribution the the SmartDest Project we aided in early stages of planning for the CityLab events. This included making an invitation template to be sent out to stakeholder being invited to the events.
