On June 12, 2020, the Tour de Finelli begins. It is a bicycle adventure that lasts 23 days with 21 cycling days and 2 days of rest covering almost 225 kilometers (Note: The average of one stage in the Tour de France is 160 km). The Final Stage culminates with a ride through all of Thornhill and up Shining Rock Court to complete the tour on July 4.
The beginning of the tour starts with a casual ride around the Stonepath section of Thornhill. 1.6 km | Elevation ± 11m
This stages tests the limits of the entire length of the neighborhood's main road with a steeper climb back. 3.05 km | Elevation ± 28m
This stage starts the beginning of the longer distances and the West region, but is any easy ride with mostly downhill to the location. Four traffic signals to be cautious during the ride. 9.33 km | Elevation ± 60m
Similar to the stage before, but a little shorter distance. The interesting part about this one is the destination is a busy shopping area. 7.5 km | Elevation ± 55m
A different route through the Ballantyne Corporate Park avoiding traffic signals. 9.2 km | Elevation ± 60m
This final stage of the West region involves more neighborhood cycling and view of homes. 9.1 km | Elevation ± 56m
Stages 7, 8, and 9 take the tour to the Southwest region with longer stages. Each stage starts with a straight path down Community House Road through 2 traffic circles.
