This conference is proudly supported by NTU's Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, as well as its College of Liberal Arts. Thanks to this generous funding:
Participation is completely free of charge
No registration fees for attendees or presenters
Conference materials and refreshments provided
Please note: While participation is free, we cannot provide financial support for travel, accommodation, or other expenses for general attendees.
The conference will primarily feature in-person sessions, with limited hybrid options available for international participants unable to travel to Taipei. We especially encourage participation from graduate students and early-career researchers.
Connectivity and WIFI: NTU offers eduroam service for traveling researchers. If you arrive by plane, we strongly advice that you get a local SIM card for internet access, available for a modest fee at the airport. Being able to access Google Maps helps a lot when commuting in Taiwan, since all schedules and routes for public transportation are correctly fed in. While at the airport, you might also consider getting an EasyCard for payment of smaller sums at convenient stores and on public transport. Use the EasyCard to travel on Taoyuan Airport MRT from the airport into the city.
Money: Apple Pay and Google Pay are widely accepted, even for Bus and Metro fare. Since foreign credit cards can be problematic, we suggest you carry some cash on your person.
