I make charts/tables/visuals for the STAAR redesign RLA data, and I usually use color. (It helps me see trends and patterns.) I use the research portal on TEA's Texas Assessment site to gather and disaggregate the state data.

Requests and questions from teachers and districts led to some of the data views below.
Because I have been sharing all of my resources for many years, people have been using, revising, & remixing my things for awhile. I love this! It is why I share. Sometimes, I will get people sending me remixed versions of my things asking me to explain them because they think they are my originals. Example of a question: Why did you change the terminology on this rubric? I didn't change the terminology. I used the wording straight from TEA. Someone else copied my rubric and changed the terminology. I have to explain that the document is based on one of mine, and I will share my original with them. The point is, if you have a question about anything in a document, please ask. And, please, keep revising and remixing anything you find useful! ~TM
I often work with all content areas on practical and relevant ways to use "writing for thinking". Here is a hyperdoc of resources for those sessions.
