Important Information from Athletics

Parent Mandatory Online Requirement

Once your team rosters are established, parent's of those who made the team must complete the Mandatory Parent-Athlete Athletic Presentation located on the athletic website (LINK) Additionally, any student athlete that did not attend the Spring Athlete Mandatory Meeting must also fill this form out in addition to their parent.

Transportation Release Forms

The transportation release form is required for any parent driving their child to/from an athletic event instead of school provided transportation. Students can NOT drive themselves in place of a bus. A form must be emailed to me and a copy must must also be given to their respective coach. The form can be obtained on our athletic webpage. Here is the link. I've also attached the form to this email.

PE Credit Form

The PE Credit form is only for those sports which we do not currently have a PE class available for at TPHS. The list of eligible sports and more information is, you guessed it, on our athletic webpage here. I've also attached the form to this email. Once the student, parent, and coach have signed the form, it is to be turned into the counseling office and NOT the athletics office BY March 15, 2024.

CIF Bylaw 600.1  Attendance at College ID camps in all sports

1. With CIFSDS prior approval, student-athletes are permitted to attend two college ID camps in any given season of sport. Attendance at any camp beyond two ID camps is a violation and would result in the penalties described in 601.A. 2. A College ID camp is defined as a sport specific camp, held on a college campus under the direction of a college coach. 3. Student athletes must receive permission from the site sport head coach and the Athletic Director/Administrator prior to attending the ID camp. ID camp participation form must be completed, signed and approved by CIFSDS prior to a student attending. Participation in an ID camp without prior approval would result in the penalties described in 601.A. 4. Camp flier or link to camp website must be forwarded to the CIFSDS office along with completed ID camp participation form. 5. The section office will list approved college ID camps on the CIFSDS web site for reference purposes. (Approved Board of Managers)

Team Uniforms:

All Players will receive 4 team jerseys (jerseys will be need to be returned at the end of the season in like condition or will be assessed a replacement value).  Jerseys are important, players are financially responsible for the loss or damage of the jerseys beyond wear and tear.

Players will need 3 pairs of knee high softball socks, Cardinal, White, and Black. Due to theses are not reusable and are considered a hygiene product, we will be offering socks sets available for purchase at the start of the season at our cost.

Varsity Players will need solid Black and solid White softball pants of their choice, no stripping from club teams. *Belts should be same color as pants (need cardinal, white and black).

JV Players will need solid Black softball pants for the season. *Belts should be same color as pants.

*Hygiene due to feminine needs- we ask players to provide their own softball pants.

Practice T's are available for purchase on the team store once opened in season.

Team Backpacks: We will have a limited number of older team backpacks, we are transitioning away from providing team travel bags due to cost and wear and tear and simply not enough financial support from the outside.

Demarini VooDoo OG Bat Bag in all Black or a bag of your choice, you can purchase this at a store of your choice. Team Embroidery Contact: CA Embroidery: caemb2@aol.com, text 858-793-7039 Owner Nina Prince

Helmets:

Helmets are the responsibility of the player, due to safety and hygiene, we suggest players provide their own for their personal use.  Helmets should be matte white, Easton Ghost or Evo Shield Matte White our the preferred brands, but any plain white will do. We will have a limited number of team helmets, but again it is highly encouraged due to lice, safety, wear and tear, we ask players to provide their own to use for their time with the program. We will provide the front decal and back number.

Since the sport has become specialized and with player preferences, gloves, bats, and other specialized items are the responsibility of the player, please label as many have like gear.

Team Shop will open once teams are formed in February. Link should be located at the top of the home page.
