Ph.D. Positions

We are looking for talented, creative, and motivated students to study dipolar interactions of anisotropic particles under the influence of uniform and non-uniform magnetic fields. We are working to control the local symmetry and order of anisotropic colloidal particle assembly by applying of external fields.

Previous experience in the synthesis and microfabrication is a plus.

Successful candidates will have a strong background in synthesis and characterization of particles, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, vector/tensor analysis, and electromagnetism.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by email by sending a cover letter, CV, and contact information for three references to Prof. Isaac Torres Díaz (Isaac.Torres.Diaz@uah.edu). The position is open until it is filled.

Master and Undergraduate Positions

The Torres-Díaz lab is looking for highly motivated, independent Master students and undergraduates to conduct theoretical or experimental research. All interested parties should send their resumes and transcripts to Prof. Torres Díaz.
