Customized IV Drips

Toronto Functional Medicine Centre offers IV drips that are specifically adapted to your needs. Every custom-made IV drip is compounded fresh with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

Prior to receiving your first custom-made drip, all patients must have a consultation with our practitioners. This appointment will involve discussing health goals and prescribing blood work. (Note: this consultation is key for customizing your IV therapy.)

Max Hydration Drip

Rehydration is key after extreme physical activity. The Max Hydration IV drip aids in rehydrating the body from lengthy physical exertions and extreme fluid loss (such as vomiting or diarrhea).

This IV therapy contains vitamins that help promote hydration while cleansing free radicals from the body. The Max Hydration Drip also provides you with electrolytes (minerals), which are crucial for encouraging muscle function. This Max Hydration IV treatment balances the blood’s PH levels and may help improve physical and mental undertakings.

Detoxifying IV Drip

This nutritional IV drip may help detoxify the body of free radicals. The Detoxifying IV Drip may support the liver, which is a known pathway that helps detoxify the body.

This drip contains glutathione and other nutritional ingredients to encourage detoxification. It may help lessen the severity of symptoms from fibromyalgia, autoimmune diseases, multiple sclerosis (MS), heavy metal toxicity, Parkinson’s, chronic fatigue, and conditions related to the thyroid.

Pre And Post Surgical Drip

The Pre- and Post-Surgical IV therapy treatment may be appropriate for compromised immune systems; in particular, for patients experiencing surgical procedures and plan on staying in a hospital setting for multiple days.

High Dose Vitamin C

The Energizer

The Energizer IV drip is inspired by the “Myer’s Cocktail,” an intravenous treatment created in the 1970s by the American physician, Dr. John Myers.

Consisting of vitamins and minerals, the Energizer IV may help equalize nutrients in your body.

This IV drip may also contribute to alleviating fatigue (mild/ moderate), severe sluggishness, malaise, and brain fog. It may improve energy levels without making you feel “on edge” through the day.

Migraine Support

As per research, increasing your intake of magnesium may help mitigate headaches, as low magnesium levels may lead to migraines. The purpose of this IV drip is to reduce migraines. The Migraine Support drip’s magnesium content may also help with: improving the functioning of nerves and muscles; helping build bones and protein; and helping with blood pressure regulation.

Additionally, the Migraine Support drip includes various B vitamins, which may facilitate in recovering from painful migraines and reducing their recurrences.

Athletes (or those who frequently participate in physical activities) may benefit from the Pre- or Post-Exercise Amino Acid Drip. Known to help lift energy levels and promote muscle recovery, this IV drip may be given to patients before or after tournaments.

This IV therapy contains branched chain essential amino acids (plus antioxidants), which may help tackle free radicals. The Pre- or Post-Exercise Amino Acid Drip may also address malabsorption and dehydration from strenuous physical performances.

MTHFR and Methylation Support

The MTHFR and Methylation Support therapy supports the MTHFR enzyme to correctly function in the body. This IV Drip may also relieve symptoms that are linked to the MTHFR gene mutation.

A substantial number of people have, at minimum, one variant of the MTHFR gene. This gene codes the MTHFR enzyme, which is responsible for breaking down folate and homocysteine.

However, the MTHFR gene can mutate, which leads to the MTHFR enzyme to irregularly function or stop working altogether.

We need the MTHFR enzyme to restore cells and detoxify/regulate the immune system. So when the MTHFR gene is mutated, the body may experience mental and physical stress. More studies are happening on this gene, though it’s been insinuated that problems with inflammation, immunity, migraines, depression and sleep, cognition/memory may be related to the MTHFR gene mutation.
