Toronto Live Steamers

Toronto Live Steamers was formed in 1972 in Mississauga, Ontario by a group of like-minded model engineers mainly interested in building and operating small gauge railway, traction and stationary steam engines.

After several track sites were lost Toronto Live Steamers was fortunate to become tenants of the Hume Family Auction Barn situated at 9313 4th line Milton in 1989.   The clubs track consists of 600 raised feet of 2.5", 3.5"and 4.75" rails including  steaming bays.

The club also has a 71/4 ground level track with approx. 1100ft of running track. There are raised steaming bays and a turn table. There is also an adjustable height loading track if required. Water is available on site from a custom built water tower.

During winter months technical meetings are held in Milton with track running days throughout the warmer months. Training in the operation of model locomotives is given by members with the use of a club steam locomotive.

New members are welcome by contacting Mike Salisbury, President, at 905-820-6378.
