How to apply to young postdoc positions

Each position has a duration of two years, with a gross salary of €39,000 per year. The city Bologna offers a high quality of life with a relatively moderate cost of living. The application deadline is June 7th, and the expected starting date is Fall 2026, with some flexibility.

If foreing citizen, in the 5th page check the box "di avere adeguata conoscenza della lingua italiana e di godere dei diritti civili e politici anche negli Stati di appartenenza o di provenienza ovvero i motivi del mancato godimento." This is only a formal requirement, contained in all Italian calls.
If the master's/phd degree is obtained abroad - with certificate in english, german, franch or spanish - then check the "Declaration of conformity of the translation" box. Your certificate is already valid and does not require a translation.

Letters of recommendation

Up to three recommendation letters may be considered for each candidate. These should be sent directly by the referees to dipmat.amministrazione@unibo.it no later than the application deadline of June 7, 2026.

Requirements

Candidates must have obtained their Master’s degree no more than six years prior to the application deadline. For candidates who earned a PhD without a Master’s degree, the six-year period is counted from the date of the PhD.
