Class overview
Supportive kindergarten partnerships help create the kind of environment in which families, schools and the community work together to achieve and sustain shared goals for children.
Trust and respect are essential to building collaborative relationships between school staff and families. An integral component of the partnership is recognition of families as experts about their children.
Our kindergarten team will always show respect for the child, the family, and the culture of the home. We look forward to working together.

Fundations uses cards to introduce the students to the letter name and sound associated with the letter with the help of a "keyword" picture. This supports the students in differentiating between the letter and the letter sound. We use a puppet friend, Echo, who introduces the Large Sound Card and the Standard Sound Card. Upon seeing Echo the puppet, the students learn to say the letter name, the picture on the card and follow that with the letter sound.
