I am presently working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering, UPES Dehradun. I teach Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in the Fluid and Thermal Science (FTS) streams and allied areas. I hold a doctorate (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Fluid and Thermal science from IIT Kanpur, India. My research interest lies in mini/micro-scale physical phenomena related to microfluidics, thermal engineering and renewable/sustainable energy engineering. I work in the areas of novel flow manipulation techniques using Ferrofluids to augment thermal transport in low Reynold number flows at mini/micro-scales under the supervision of Late Prof. Sameer Khandekar (Personal Webpage). My PhD dissertation work was mainly focused on single-phase laminar convective flows and two-phase Taylor bubble/slug flows of ferrofluids.
I am actively seeking collaborative opportunities in Fluid and Thermal science domain to advance my research and foster interdisciplinary partnerships A synopsis of the PhD thesis can be seen here.
