This Privacy Policy applies to the Android application Vehagita Bo (Hebrew name: והגית בו), Google Play package name com.eyals.torahaod, published on Google Play by Master Betty .

This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use Vehagita Bo.

1. Who we are

Vehagita Bo is a Jewish learning and Always On Display (AOD) app. It shows Torah verses on the lock screen, a Jewish text library (Tanakh, Tehillim, Siddur, Shulchan Aruch, Segulot, and related content), Hebrew calendar information, and optional paid access through Google Play.

2. Information we collect

We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, Google account email, contacts, photos, location, or payment card details.

a. Information stored on your device

The app stores settings and progress locally on your device, including:

- Always On Display preferences (content source, wallpaper, display options)

- Free trial start date, bonus-day claim, and subscription or gift access status

- Last reading positions (for example Tehillim, Siddur, Shulchan Aruch)

- Tutorial and onboarding completion

This data remains on your device unless Android backup copies some app data.

b. Content requests over the internet

When you use library, search, parsha, or calendar features, the app requests content from third-party services (mainly Sefaria at sefaria.org and related calendar APIs). Those requests include standard technical data such as your IP address, which those providers may process under their own privacy policies.

c. Subscriptions and payments

Paid access is processed by Google Play Billing. Google collects and processes purchase information. We do not receive your full payment card number. We only receive from Google whether you have an active subscription for this app.

d. Support email

If you contact us by email (including through the in-app contact option), we receive whatever you send, including your email address, message content, and any device details you include.

e. Gift or admin codes (if used)

If a one-time gift or admin reset code is entered in the Segulot search bar, the app may send the following to the developer email address (mrbetty636@gmail.com):

- Device model, manufacturer, and device name

- Android device identifier (ANDROID_ID)

- App version

- The fact that a code was used or reset

- The new code (for admin rotation only)

This information is sent through an email form service (FormSubmit). The current gift code may be stored with a third-party key-value service (kvdb.io) so a used code cannot be reused on another device.

f. Permissions for Always On Display

The app may request overlay, notifications, full-screen intent, wake lock, and (on some devices) notification-listener access solely to show verses on the lock screen or always-on display. We do not use the notification listener to read, store, or sell the content of notifications from other apps.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

- Provide verses, library texts, search, and calendar features

- Operate the Always On Display feature

- Manage the free trial and Google Play subscription

- Respond to support requests

- Operate one-time gift or admin codes, if used

- Maintain and improve the app

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

4. Information sharing

We share information only with:

- Google Play / Google — app distribution, subscriptions, and diagnostics Google may collect

- Sefaria and calendar data providers — loading Jewish texts and Hebrew calendar data

- FormSubmit and kvdb.io — gift-code email delivery and one-time code storage, if a code is used

- Email providers — when you send a message to mrbetty636@gmail.com

We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data retention

- On-device settings remain until you clear app data or uninstall the app.

- Support emails are kept as long as needed to respond and operate the app.

- Gift-code notifications are kept as long as needed to administer codes.

- Google retains purchase records according to Google’s policies.

6. Security

We use HTTPS for network requests. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Children

Vehagita Bo is a general religious-education app. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your choices

You may:

- Uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings

- Turn off Always On Display and revoke related permissions

- Manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions

- Email mrbetty636@gmail.com to ask questions or request deletion of information we hold in email (we cannot delete Google Play purchase records on your behalf)

9. International users

Servers used by Sefaria, Google, FormSubmit, and similar providers may be located outside your country.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
