Privacy Policy for Top Ten
Last updated: February 2026
Overview
Top Ten ("we", "us", or "our") is a list-ranking app. We built it to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what we collect and why.
---
What We Collect
1. Your lists and rankings
The lists you create are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. They do not leave your device unless you interact with community features.
2. Anonymous device ID
When you participate in community voting, we generate a random anonymous identifier for your device and store it locally. This ID contains no personal information and is used only to prevent duplicate votes.
3. Community votes
When you submit a community ranking, your anonymous device ID, the list ID, and your ranked entries are stored in our database (Supabase). Your name and any personal information are never attached to votes.
4. Approximate location
To show you community lists relevant to your area, we detect your approximate city and region using your IP address via ipinfo.io. We do not collect GPS or precise location. This data is cached on your device for 7 days and is never stored on our servers.
5. Feedback and contact messages
If you submit feedback or a contact message, we collect your email address and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to you and improve the app.
