Hello. I would like some advice on how to create ringtones from My Music Library. I would like to use iOS but might be willing to try using the Mac if that will work better. I know absolutely nothing about Audio editing and find it very intimidating. Not all of the ringtones I want to make are at the beginning of songs.

I tried the free version of Ringtone Maker, and even got to the song I wanted, but I couldn't tell where I was in the track, as it told me where I was by a minute and second but wasn't playing through the headphones or speaker, so I was lost. Do I have to get this information from some other App beforehand? Any help would be much appreciated, preferably in layman's terms. Thanks.

I would try to use some kind of audio editor, for example Apples Garage Band or Apples Logic... I like Audacity, but anyway:Import the song into the wave editor and select the parts you wish. Trimm the audio to about 30 Seconds max.Include some fade ins and fade out - if you like.

When I plug my old phone into my computer and go to This PC\KYOCERA\Internal storage\media\audio\ringtones like I have been told to go to for the default ringtones, the only ones that show up are a couple of custom ringtones I had put on previously. I want to extract the default ringtones like AT&T Play On and notification sounds like Syrma, so that I can put them on my new phone.

I would prefer not to install drivers/programs onto my computer, but it would be okay with installing an app on my phone if necessary. I have the default Windows 10 programs on my computer, as well as and file commander and the rest of the default Android 5 apps on my old phone.

I was trying to add a new contact and discovered that the Ringtones option has completely disappeared from editing in Contacts. The old contacts still show their individual ringtones (and the ringtones work when someone calls me) and I can still see the ringtones under "Sounds & Vibrations". But when I tap "edit" in Contacts, Ringtones does not come up.

I've looked up help videos that mention a sound picker app. My phone doesn't show it (or any way to get to system apps). Please help.

Okay, I can reach ringtones from there. But I used to be able to access it from the edit menu under the individual contacts and that has disappeared.

Is that a glitch with my phone, or just some new pointless and inconvenient change Samsung made in their last update?

I am not familiar with that phone but looking through the manual it looks like custom ringtones can be manually installed through the Web UI and selected for use (if enabled by your Administrator). Can you confirm your logged into the phone as an Administrator?

While logged into the phone go to Basic Settings> Custom Ringtones. You should see an option to browse for your custom ringtone, then select your file and click Upload. Once the file has been uploaded you go to Basic Settings> Preferences> Ring Tones and you should be able to see your newly uploaded ringtone in the drop down list for whatever line or option you see.

All the other settings on the first page are what i see as the regular user using the phone: Language, Voicemail, Call Forward, Status, Config Teleworker, Diagnostics, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Audio, Display

I have assigned specific ringtones for specific contacts and recently when that person calls me, the specified ringtone is not working, instead my default ringtone for people I don't know rings. I've gone in and re-assigned the ringtones, but it still isn't working. Please if you know what to do, help me fix this! Thanks!

What does this do? I just got my phone and I am customizing it. I had the original (motorola) Droid and never had to do this. Is this because this person has...an "older" Tbolt? Or do I need to do this too?

If I remember correctly, for Holloween they did custome auto responses but not the ringtones.

Any case, go to the eufy community and check with support@eufylife.com to see if they have any plans for Christmas.

I'm testing out Zoom phone service, and in the setup process, I'd like to add custom .wav files to the options that users can select from for their ringtone. I uploaded a .wav file via the vvx450's web interface, but once I add the url to the recommended Zoom provisioning server, it gets wiped from the phone. Is there a simple way to create a template that lets me include ringtones for users?

Solved after some digging.

A user on the Poly forums showed how to format .wav files to work on Poly VVX phones: -SIP-Phones/Polycom-VVX300-and-custom-ringtones/m-p/83002/highligh...

Building the provision template wasn't too hard once I found the corresponding parameter in the Poly UC documentation: -ag-6-0-0/page/r-ucs-ag-sampled-audio-file-parameters.html

After that, it was just a matter of uploading my .wav file to a publicly accessible url, one caveat being that I had to make sure the .wav file name in the url had no special characters, because it messed up the Poly phone. On Zoom's side, the provision template looks like this:

saf.2 = " "

You see, I thought we had all learned a lesson with the Crazy Frog and ringtones based entirely on repeating single-syllable words, but apparently not. BingTones are now invading public places around the world. In a bid to maintain social order, I come offering some ringtones from Windows 7.

Using the PC as a phone is central to the future of communications, and this session will provide you with the essentials to build the end to end experience. Windows 7 provides APIs for integrating communications capabilities into your applications. This session covers attenuating and muting sounds during a phone call, receiving a phone call using a Bluetooth headset, improving the latency of a phone call, and selecting the appropriate communications device.

Thank you for the app suggestion! I was able to at least put the files into the correct folders, but unfortunately, they don't show up in the selection list for either ringtones or notifications. I'm not sure if they need to be specific encoders to work, or if there's still just no way for it to access it on US models.

Apple's instruction is to drag and drop tones from Finder to the "Tones" section of my device in iTunes. This method works to add tones to my phone. However, I can't discern how to remove ringtones from my phone.

If you tick the box "Manually manage music and videos", and click the "Apply" button, you'll be able to select a ringtone from your device (in iTunes) and hit your delete key (you'll be prompted for a confirmation to delete the file).

The answer is that it's impossible to remove them from your phone because any ringtones that existed on your phone after you updated to iTunes 12.7 appear to be inaccessible. They do not show up in iTunes in the "Tones" folder, so they can not be deleted. Even using the methods described above, turning on "manually manage music", restarting, syncing, etc.

As of (and perhaps before, I'm not sure) macOS Catalina and iOS 13, there is no longer any iTunes app, so I know this answer does not exactly apply to the OP's question, but for those like me who found this question looking for an answer on how to delete custom ringtones from an iPhone under iOS 13:

Have a very weird and annoying problem: if I connect a headset to the notebook via Bluetooth, I am getting a strange ringtone when I receive a call in MS Teams. I have turned off "play sound for incoming calls and notifications" option, but it is still ringing. I thought it was a feature of Jabra headphones (tried on Jabra 75t), but when I connected wife's Samsung headphones (Samsung Buds 2), I got the different ringtone! :) Neither of these ringtones are MS Teams ringtones (checked all available) and weirdly enough, none of them are visible on visualization in System->Sound->More sound settings -> Playback (it seems it plays on headphones itself). Jabra support said they do not have any pre-loaded ringtones on the headphones.

Additionally, when I'm on the meeting in MS Teams, this ringtone is not playing when I receive calls.

Having this issue for a year already, but to be honest, was not able to understand the cause of it. When I connect a non-Bluetooth headset (SteelSeries Arctic 7) I don't hear any additional ringtone.

Reinstalled Teams completely - did not help.

Any ideas how to disable it? 152ee80cbc
