Relationship(s): Aizawa Shota & Iida Tenya; Aizawa Shota & Bakugou Katsuki; Aizawa Shota & Shoji Mezo; Aizawa Shota & Midoriya Izuku; Aizawa Shota & Uraraka Ochaco; Aizawa Shota & Class 1-A
CW/TW: Main character death, Mental health struggles, Any sort of discrimination (even if posed in a negative way)
SUMMARY: The war is over. All For One has been defeated, bringing in a new era of peace. Shota Aizawa and his problem children may have made it out alive, but that doesn’t mean everything just goes back to normal. A year of endless targeting by villains culminating in a vicious, bloody war isn’t something you get over quickly. Even now, a year later, they’re still picking up the pieces.
Or, five times where Aizawa helps his students through their trauma, and one time they help him through his.
Clarification for MCD tag in case that distinction matters for some people: it is in reference only and the death itself is temporary
Relationship(s): Aizawa/Shirakumo
CW/TW: Main character death, Sad ending
SUMMARY: What if Oboro Shirakumo lived? Shouta Aizawa is about to find out. One night, after an impromptu visit from Hizashi, Shouta is left alone to look through an old photo album. In the midst of looking through it something miraculous and equally terrifying happens: he is attacked by an unknown assailant. When he wakes up, everything is different. Relationship(s): Aizawa/Mic, Aizawa&Eri, Aizawa&Shinsou, Aizawa&Jirou, Mic&Jirou, Possible Aizawa/Mic/Oboro or Aizawa&Mic&Oboro
CW/TW: Mental health struggles, Omegaverse, Mpreg, Emeto (SFW), Alcohol, Minor canonical character death offscreen (Oboro), birth, postpartum depression.
SUMMARY: Everyone always tells Aizawa he's "a natural" at being a dad, and they usually follow up that idiotic platitude with speculation that it's because he's an omega. Aizawa knows they're all dead wrong. Being a dad takes time, practice, and conscious effort; there's nothing 'natural' about it. It's only logical that he acts like a good dad because he's had so much practice.
5 times Aizawa is "a natural" dad and 1 time he needs help:
1) Aizawa is nurturing and soft with Eri. 2) Aizawa remembers babysitting Mic's cousin when he, Mic, and Oboro were high schoolers. 3) Aizawa goes dad-mode on his first class of UA students and gains a reputation. 4) Aizawa is the "dad friend" after All Might brings a spiked watermelon to a teacher beach party. 5) Aizawa treats Shinsou like a son and goes a little feral when his boy is in danger. +1) Aizawa has a terrible time after giving birth and getting postpartum depression because "it's natural" and he's supposed to be "a natural" at being a parent; his family (Mic, Eri, Shinsou, his other students) supports him and the future looks bright.
Relationship(s): Aizawa/Mic; Aizawa & Shinsou; Aizawa & Eri; Aizawa & Denki; Aizawa & 1A
CW/TW: None or N/A
SUMMARY: Title: Strays
Summary: Vignettes (maybe a 5+1) about Aizawa and his tendency to take in various “strays”. I’ll probably start with him getting together with Mic and then do Eri and Shinsou and then a couple more with other class 1a students or Shiggy :)
Relationship(s): Aizawa & Ochako & Mina & Tsuyu & Jiro & Momo & Hagakure
CW/TW: None or N/A
SUMMARY: The girls of 1-A decide to drag Aizawa into a self-care night because they are concerned that he neglects his own wellbeing and mental health (which is probably true). He thinks it's gonna be a pain, but, it's more enjoyable than he would like to admit.
Relationship(s): Aizawa & Midoriya; Aizawa & Uraraka; Aizawa & Asui; Aizawa & Todoroki; Aizawa & Jirou; Midoriya & Bakugo; (potentially background Aizawa/Mic, probably preslash Bakugo/Midoriya/Todoroki, though romance will not be the main focus.)
CW/TW: Mental health struggles, Suicide/Self Harm, Eating Disorders, Emeto (SFW), Abuse of any kind, Illness, Any sort of discrimination (even if posed in a negative way)
SUMMARY: Aizawa would like to get have one day out where his students are safe.
After some two bit villain with the quirk 'Old Wounds' targets them on a day out, Aizawa has to spend the next week watching over five students as they're forced to relive the pain of every injury they've ever had, from the present back to birth. With no way to fight the phantom pains, they all just have to wait it out.
Considering Midoriya's brutal first year and Todoroki's facial scar, he's already not looking forward to this. But as it turns out, between those two, Uraraka, Asui, and Jirou, there's more hurt in the past than he could have imagined.
Relationship(s): Aizawa Shouta&Todoroki Shouto; Midoriya Izuku/Todoroki Shouto; background Aizawa/Mic and Aizawa&Shinsou
CW/TW: Mental health struggles, Abuse of any kind
SUMMARY: Todoroki Shouto reminded Shouta of Hitoshi years ago, when he was still with his former foster parents—not that they deserved to be called parents, even in passing. He flinched when Hizashi was loud in class, he answered any attempt at kindness as if he were a hurt stray cat, his arms often had bandages that he wouldn’t answer any questions about. Shouta had lost track of all the ways that he’d tried to get through to him, only to get agressively shut down. In a last ditch effort, he decided to sit him next to the Midoriya kid. If nothing else, he talked enough for the both of them.
He couldn’t believe the transformation he saw in Todoroki almost overnight. He was so damn happy to finally get Todoroki Enji to face some consequences, too.
And if he teared up a little bit when he got a wedding invite years later, who could blame him?
Relationship(s): ShoutoTodoroki & Izuku; Aizawa/Yamada; Izuku & Aizawa; Izuku & Yamada; maybe? Izuku/shinsou?? probably? but. yeah
CW/TW: Mental health struggles, Suicide/Self Harm, Eating Disorders, Abuse of any kind, Any sort of discrimination (even if posed in a negative way)
SUMMARY: Todoroki finds out about Izuku's sh and has a breakdown about wanting Izuku to be safe so he goes to Aizawa and explains to him the situation. Todoroki feels guilty for giving away Izuku's secrets, especially to an adult. cue major dadzawa and lots of talking. They talk about the pressure Izuku is under from All Might and Aizawa gets mad at the pro, but no bashing anyone, just people acknowledging mistakes and dealing with them healthily. There will be a hopeful ending that feels conclusive unless the story goes somewhere else. (this is a mess and I am so sorry, I really do promise the story is more put together than me)
Relationship(s): Aizawa/Fatgum
CW/TW: None or N/A
SUMMARY: Aizawa has been dating Fat Gum for a roughly a month now. Everyone originally agreed to respect his privacy and per his request, give him space to know the man on a level that is NOT work related.
Now? Everyone is getting impatient. Fat Gum wants to make a good impression. Kirishima is determined to defend his mentor. Aizawa wishes everyone would go back to bed, and let him celebrate his anniversary in peace
Relationship(s): Aizawa//Mic; Aizawa and Eri; Aizawa and Shinsho
CW/TW: Mental health struggles, Suicide/Self Harm, Abuse of any kind, implied/referenced child abuse,
SUMMARY: Loosely based off the movie Instant Family
After gaining legal custody over a set of siblings, Aizawa finds himself struggling with his new responsibilities as a parent, along with his duties as a teacher. It doesn’t help that the older of the siblings is completely ignoring Aizawa’s efforts, stringing his little sister along to do the same. Maybe Hizashi could help him…
Relationship(s): Aizawa/Present Mic; Aizawa & Eri; Aizawa & Izuku
CW/TW: Any sort of discrimination (even if posed in a negative way), Child Abuse (Implied more likely than not)
SUMMARY: Note: Canon Universe, But Very Divergent
Izuku & Eri are rescued from the Shie Hassaikai. Izuku is only slightly older than Eri, but he's very protective of her, and distrusting of adults in general.
And the guy that rescues them might not be terrible, since he is a Pro Hero, but he doesn't look like someone who can take care of kids, so Izuku is very skeptical of his fostering situation.
(Mostly domestic fluff after a tragic past & Izuku becoming very attached to his foster dad)
Relationship(s): Aizawa/Mic; Aizawa & Todoroki Shouto; Present Mic & Todoroki Shouto; Todoroki Shouto & Eri.
CW/TW: Implied rape/noncon, Mental health struggles, Abuse of any kind, Illness, Incest
SUMMARY: A lifetime built up out of pushing himself slowly over the edge, maybe a nap was all he needed. Todoroki Shouto was a master of self denial. He could convince himself that it ended there, but for Aizawa, it was just the beginning.
Maybe it took one traumatized insomniac to truly understand another. Grief never fully vanishes, sometimes it just changes form.
Relationship(s): Todoroki Shouto/Midoryia Izuku; Shinsou Hitoshi/Aizawa Shouta
CW/TW: Pregnancy (AFAB), Endeavor being....well Endeavor
SUMMARY: 5 times Aizawa Shouta acted like a dad and the 1 time he became a dad
Aged up + FTM Hitoshi, married Shinzawa
1. The time he let Shouto stay for Christmas
Enji said he had to train over break, that he wasn't allowed Christmas Eve off to spend with Midoryia. Aizawa overhears and offers to make a fake training class over break, Shouto can stay at the dorms or with Aizawa and can meet up with Midoryia. Ends with a semi-awkward double date between Shinzawa and TodoDeku
2. The time he made dinner for 2-A
Finals are coming up fast for 2-A. Aizawa might not be their homeroom teacher anymore but he's still their dorm chaperone. Worried when he sees even Bakugou skipping proper meals, he spends a day planning and prepping a meal for the class. Shinsou jokes he's gone soft while sneaking bites of prep ingredients
3. The time he calmed down a kid and helped them find their parents
Out having a date with his husband, Aizawa Shouta and Hitoshi stumble upon a 7 year old crying for their dad and big sister who disappeared when he turned to look at a manga display in a store window. Shouta helps calm the kid down enough to get a description of the family members and helps return the kid safely. Shinsou notes Aizawa is good with kids of all ages
4. The time he took Izuku out to celebrate graduation
Despite having a mostly supportive mom, watching almost all of his classmates be congratulated by their dads has Midoryia feeling upset. Inko told him only this morning Hisashi wouldn't be making the ceremony. Angry at the absent father, Aizawa offers to treat Inko and Izuku to a graduation dinner. Shinsou thinks Aizawa deserves to do this with his own kid one day
5. The time Hito found him scrapebooking
Shinsou has been thinking all year about bringing up the subject. He's always thought it might happen, was always been unsure if he actually wanted it though but he never made the steps to make it impossible. He wants to bring it up delicately but it stumbles out of his mouth when he gets home early to see Aizawa sleepily cutting and pasting articles and pictures of Jirou, Tokoyami, and Koda's recent achievements into a scrapbook. Aizawa does not scream at the sudden words or presence of his husband
+1. The time he met his kid
Logically, he understands Hitoshi is in pain, uncomfortable, and Shouta is technically the reason why. His demands of never again, he hates Sho, and loud "fuck you" are expected and not an issue. Although his threat of divorce seems a little dramatic to Shouta at the time. Seeing the love of his life in such pain however, causes Shouta to wonder if this was actually worth it. When a nurse brings the small wrapped up baby back to the room and hands him their daughter, Shouta just smiles and let's her attempt to chew on his finger. He loves her, loves Hitoshi, and can't wait to raise her
Relationship(s): Aizawa & Bakugou; Bakugou/Shouto
CW/TW: None or N/A
SUMMARY: Due to unfortunate circumstances, Aizawa finds himself having to take in Bakugou under his care. It's a rocky road to trust and comfort between them, what with both of them having strong (and stubborn) personalities. This is the story of how they learn to become a family.
Relationship(s): Aizawa & Shinsou
CW/TW: Mental health struggles, Open/ambiguous ending
SUMMARY: Trans Aizawa sees his student trying to bind his chest. Given he has lots of experience in the matter prior to his top surgery as an adult, he decides to talk it over with Shinsou, has a little heart to heart and chat about safety when binding. Gifts him a new binder and promises he’ll be there for him the whole way, mentoring him in more ways than just as a hero. Cute, sweet, a little sappy!
Relationship(s): Aizawa and Class 3-A (class 1-A just in their third year)
CW/TW: None or N/A
SUMMARY: Class 3-A and Aizawa are on a field trip and the students get hit with an age regression quirk. Chaos ensues as the toddlers who still have their quirks become active as most young kids do. Aizawa has to tie a rope to Ochako, he has to keep Sero from wrapping Kaminari fully in tape, he has to distract Bakugo from showing dominance over all the toddlers and terrorizing them. So he uses that arrogance to advantage. Enticing Bakugo as the oldest to help wrangle the other toddlers to the bus to go home.
