Check back in early 2026 for updated announcements and information!
There are several completely new features which we rolled out in 2024. We believe that all of them will enhance the learning experience, offer more time with the lecturers and TAs, provide an opportunity for networking between students, and even give an opportunity to some students to present their own research.
Each day will offer an opportunity to sign up for 1-on-1 "office hours" with the lecturers. These are meant for individual students (or groups of students) to ask questions about the material, but also to discuss their own research.
As supplementary material, after the live lectures, students will be provided (for a fixed time period) with pre-recorded videos on relevant parts of the material as well as additional content related to the lectures and assignments.
While the summer school is fully online to cater for the wide range of geographical locations of our students, we are aware of the drawbacks connected to remote lectures. Therefore, each course will offer a “social” event where students and the lecturer will be able to connect (virtually, but informally) over a (BYO) drink and snack.
As an additional bonus, we will run a ½ day research workshop after the summer school (Saturday 16th of August, 2025). All participants of our summer school are encouraged to submit a paper and to attend. However, the workshop will be competitive with the lecturers and TAs selecting only (up to) 6 papers for presentation.
