Hello! We are Tony Nguyen and Van Le. We have been proud residents of East Longmeadow over the last 15+ years. Immigrants from Vietnam, we have been welcomed with open arms into this humble town - many of you have gotten a haircut from Van right next door! To give back, we wanted to bring a piece of our country and culture through food and drink.

Vietnam's gastronomy revolves around the number five. Our cuisine features five core flavors: sweet (ngọt), salty (mặn), spicy (cay), sour (chua), and bitter (đắng). These five flavors respectively correspond with the five elements that guide the Vietnamese way to life: earth (thổ), water (thủy), metal (kim), wood (mộc), and fire (hỏa). We hope you can appreciate and experience these flavors in the food and drinks we will prepare for you!

We are old-fashioned Vietnamese-Americans who were born in Đà Nẵng in Central Vietnam, and were raised in Sài Gòn, Vietnam, known today as Ho Chi Minh City. We grew up eating the traditional dishes you might know and already love. Our son, Daniel, is a new-fashioned Vietnamese-American who was born and raised in Springfield and East Longmeadow. He grew up on those dishes as well, but him and his generation have also become so experimental and creative with adding youthful touches to the timeless classics, especially drinks like Vietnamese-style coffee and matcha.

Embracing our identities into our food, our menu features a variety of both classic and modern dishes that define Vietnamese gastronomy. Welcome to Tony Phở. We are excited to have you taste a sample of Vietnam!
