Tontrixx Chess ("the App", "we", "us") is operated by Tontrixx. This Privacy
Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices
you have. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email
address (for email sign-up) or, if you play as a guest, an anonymous
identifier that does not personally identify you. You also choose a display
name that is visible to other players.
Gameplay information. To provide online play we store your games, the moves
you make, game results, and your rating and win/loss/draw record.
Technical information. Our infrastructure provider (Google Firebase)
automatically processes limited technical data such as your IP address,
device type, and app-interaction logs to deliver and secure the service.
We do NOT collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or payment
information, and the App contains no advertising.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
- Create and manage your account and profile.
- Match you with other players and run online games.
- Calculate and display ratings and records.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App.
- Detect and prevent cheating, abuse, and fraud.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. LEGAL BASES (EEA/UK USERS)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our
contract with you (providing the App), for our legitimate interests (keeping
the service safe and functional), and, where required, with your consent.
4. HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS SHARED
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Functions)
to run the App. Your data is processed and stored on Google's infrastructure
under Google's terms; see Google's Privacy Policy at
https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Your display name, rating, and game results are visible to opponents as part
of normal gameplay.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with
advertisers.
5. DATA RETENTION
We keep your account and profile data for as long as your account exists.
Game records may be retained to maintain ratings and history. You may
request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time
(see "Your Rights").
6. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct,
export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain
processing.
- EEA/UK (GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability,
and objection.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): the right to know, delete, and correct. We do not
sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.
- India (DPDP Act, 2023): access, correction, and erasure of your personal
data.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children
under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children
under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information,
contact us at prateeksainiofficial01@gmail.com and we will delete it.
8. DATA SECURITY
We rely on Google Firebase's security infrastructure and apply access rules
so that only you and your opponents can access the relevant game data. No
method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee
absolute security.
9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of
residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such
transfers.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will
be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate,
through an in-app notice.
