I really enjoyed my stay. Alicia met me with a smile upon arrival and showed me around. It was comfortable and peaceful. The house is very Alaskan and beautiful. With this area being more remote, it was nice to sleep in comfy bed, take a hot shower, and have access to a kitchen. I would stay here again!

The lodge is in a quiet spot down a short gravel road off the highway. A fast creek runs through right below the porch, providing excellent white noise at night & a refreshing cold plunge spot in the morning.The space is set up like a classic B&B. The private bedroom opens into a kitchenette/living space & bathroom shared with two other guest rooms.The WiFi is good and perfect for remote work (although not much cell service in the area).The host was very responsive and very helpful with every question and issue I had.The location is great to access the surrounding area, and there’s a yak farm about 10 minutes down the Edgerton Highway that’s worth a stop if you have time.

Alicia is a wonderful host and a lovely person! The place was clean and comfortable, and she went out of her way to make sure we were welcomed and comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful and there’s a river stream that creates a very peaceful noise while sleeping. Strongly recommend as a place to stop on your way to or from either Valdez of McCarthy/Kennicott! Alicia’s warmth and sweetness was the highlight of the stay with her.

Fantastic stay. We only stayed one night, but we will definitely book for a longer stay next time we visit Alaska! We loved the peaceful setting in the mountains with a beautiful small river and bridge on property. Felt like Alaska. Not Ritz Carlton luxury, but that's not what we were looking for. Upstairs lodge/cabin had ample room for our family of 5 with 3 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. All the essentials for our stay were provided. Owners are very nice and accommodating. 5 stars.
