The Tonglen meditation originated in Bengal and is associated with Tibetan Buddhism. It is the practice of giving and receiving: a practice of true generosity. No matter how much we give away, we are still filled and whole.
My wish behind this project is to help make the world a better place. Our beautiful planet that we share. Where there is so much goodness and wonder, and also so much suffering. Violence, war, hunger, droughts, floods, forest fires, oppression, discrimination. How? How to make it better? This can be done in many ways and with offering this particular meditation, I am hoping it will bring those practicing in a space where you will continue your day with much more compassion, more gratitude and a willingness to bring more kindness into your interactions.
I am incredibly grateful for all the help I have received to translate & record this meditation in all the various languages. This is truly a community project, from us for the world.
